About this book
Do the friendships you make on holiday have anything to do with real life?It might be sensible to hope that they don't.For the last few years, Beth and Ned have gone to the same Caribbean island to the same luxury spa hotel. There they meet the same crowd, and take up where they left off last time. Real life, home life, family life, are all safely left behind.Except this year. This year, home problems have somehow tagged along for the ride. Ned has been playing away - a bit of a drunken fling, that's all, nothing to worry about, Beth thinks. But although they have put it all behind them, what Beth doesn't know is that Ned's fling was with the female half of one of the couples they are holidaying with.To make matters worse, Beth has insisted on bringing along their sixteen-year-old daughter Delilah, whoıs been ill and needs rest and sunshine. good advice

First if I may a little in the way of a disclaimer. I also have a book on the same topic available. I have been on over 30 cruises and my first ten were on Carnival, including their first two ships, the Mardi Gras and Carnival. Carnival Cruise lines is a good line and has the highest percentage of first time cruisers. The Author writes from her experiences on Carnival Cruises. The authors passion for cruises, something I can relate to, clearly comes out in this short book. It is written in a manner such as talking to a friend. She brings up most topics that someone first thinking about a first cruise would be thinking about. One comment I would like to make concerns the authors comment that she only drinks bottled water. Today's modern cruise ships use desalinization to create the water used on board. The process and filtration is to the same standards as bottled water. The water made available to drinking is perfectly safe.If your looking for a short... 4/5 charles davis (Olongapo, Philippines) - See all my reviews, March 24, 2012

    Makes me want to CRUISE!!

This little book is a charmer. It gives just the right amount of information for a novice and also would be a handy reminder for even the veteran cruiser. I enjoyed it very much, parts of it even made me giggle.. I definitely encourage you to read this little guide. This quick read that can be completed in one sitting also has an ample directory with their websites handily included.. I rate it 5 stars***** 5/5 Karen Thompson "bukwurm" (Galena, Mo USA) - See all my reviews, February 9, 2012

    An incredibly useful tool!

As a teacher in an inclusive preschool classroom and a student of special education, I found this book to be exceptionally useful. The authors provide detailed suggestions for adaptations that can be made in all the usual activities of a preschool environment, such as circle time, art, sand and water table, blocks, dramatic play, snack, and fine and gross motor centers. To make the book even more valuable, the authors discuss a number of different disabilities and suggest appropriate accommodations for each activity according to the type of disability. Autism/PDD, ADHD, Orthopedic Impairments, Developmental Delays, Visual Impairments and Motor Planning Impairments are all addressed. For the most part, the proposed adaptations are easily made and quite successful. Illustrations are provided as well, which may help guide a teacher in implementing adaptations of classroom materials and structure. The design and presentation of the book is reader-friendly and easy to follow, and the... 5/5 a2rhiannon (Ann Arbor, MI) - See all my reviews This review is from: The Inclusive Early Childhood Classroom: Easy Ways to Adapt Learning Centers for All Children (Paperback) As a teacher in an inclusive preschool classroom and a student of special education, I found this book to be exceptionally useful. Outstanding resource for prechool therapists and teachers

This book is a gem--just perfect for occupational therapists, parents or anyone working with special needs preschoolers. The book is organized by various diagnoses as well as specific learning situations found in most preschools-circle time, snack, various centers, etc. The numerous classroom adaptations suggested are outstanding. I work in Head Start preschools where the teachers have limited experience and training with special needs kids. I can't tell you how helpful this book has been. 5/5 Christine V. Excellent Review!

I have never cruised before, and so I found Ms. Brubeck's book to be incredibly informative. As I have a four year-old child as well, I liked reading the tips and reviews about the different children's programs on different cruise lines. In addition, I enjoyed seeing the many photos of the different cabins to get the gist of the sizes. The list of websites for additional tips is also a great wealth of info. Finally, the part about Disney cruise lines has convinced my husband that we will have to take a Disney cruise sometime in the future.Great book, and I recommend it highly. 5/5 Y. At 122 pages, could not be called 'All-Inclusive'

I should have looked at the details of the book closer. At only 122 pages, how could it be considered 'All-Inclusive'? The information was very general, averaging only two or three paragraphs per heading. Most (if not all) of the information is available online. This book did not go deeply into any one topic at all. I would venture to say that it does not go into the subject of adoption too deeply. It really is more of an overview, and if it had been billed as that, I would not have returned it. If it is Volume 1, I'm wondering where Volume 2 is.So why even two stars? This might serve as a good introduction to adoption, but I might even caution against that. If you are serious enough about adoption to be purchasing books about it, you really need something with some meat to it. There are few things more dangerous than a little knowledge. 2/5 Karen M. Includes information on possible scams

I appreciated the information on safety guidelines, dealing with birth mother scams, adoption agency rip-offs, and online tricks. Every adoptive parent should be aware of all aspects in order to be fully prepared. Adoption alone is a very emotional process, getting scammed should be the least of all worries. So it's good that this book prepares you for that because awareness is always the first thing to prevention. The book will become my travel bible, whether traveling with my husband or my entire family.
