    Trip to disney

Can't complain- this book was free! We've been to Disney as a family once & plan on going again so we're still 'wet around the ears' as far as Disney goes. I did find this book helpful- its easy to read and not overwhelming like some other Disney books I've looked at- however it is short- its a good first book to look at- might help you narrow down some topics to do further research on. 5/5 K. Watched Blu-Ray version on a 37 inch 1080p Sharp Aquos using a Slim PlayStation 3.Purchased at $18.99.-1 Blu-Ray disc containing Disneyland Resorts: Behind the Scenes (51 min), Undiscovered Disney Parks (44 min), and Ultimate Walt Disney World (44 min) of both locations, and Extras-1 DVD with the same content as the Blu-Ray, and a Digital Copy. The Digital Copy included includes 3 .mp4 files (Disneyland Resorts: Behind the Scenes, Undiscovered Disney Parks, and Ultimate Walt Disney World) that you simply copy off the DVD yourself. There is no code to redeem through iTunes or Windows Media Player, but I did import them into the iTunes library.-Blu-Ray case is inside a cardboard slipcase. This version may not be as extensive as the 6-Disc DVD set which I have never seenPicture and sound quality was just fine for something like this.I'm reviewing this mostly from a content point of view.I have personally been to Disney... 5/5 P. Everything you might want to know about the Disney Parks..

Picked this set up today at one of the local stores. Thought I'd share some comments. The set consists of six DVDs, each in an individual thin case - which are stored in a cardboard sleeve. Most of the videos are "widescreen", but a few are "full screen" 1.33:1 ratio and they all lack close-captioning. These videos document what there is to do at the parks and attractions, with a lot of interviews of park employees and with actual customers. It does start to seem like a hour long commercial for Disney, but I guess that is expected given that it's a detailed look at a theme park and it's attractions.Listing of the discs;1) Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes. 52 minutes with two extra features; What's New in the Haunted Mansion & Stitch's Great Escape. Not sure just how long each of the extra features are - but they seem to be around 8~12 minutes. This DVD reminded me of the History Channel's documentary... 5/5 K. Why pay when you can get it for free

What a disappointment. This six video set seems nothing more than an extended version of the travel planning video you can order from the Walt Disney Company for free. While there are a few scenes you will not see elsewhere, such as an inside look at the private Club 33 at Disneyland, this does not justify the cost. The title is also very misleading "The Secrets, Stories and Magic Behind the Scenes". There is very little behind the scenes material. Finally, the production is sloppy. Each video is only about 45 minutes long, even with the "Extras" which themselves are only a few minutes each. In that 45 minutes they often use the same scene over and over, such as the same surfer surfing the same wave at Typhoon Lagoon. What, did they run out of original footage to fill out the 45 minutes? The videos are pretty to look at and the Disney Parks look beautiful, but that is more a credit to Disney than to the producers of this project which is not worthy of the... 1/5 Aisle Seat - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Too short & all have been released to DVD before!

These are great cartoons, but there is nothing new to DVD here. If you have the Disney Treasures sets, you have these cartoons:Others gave descriptions, so I will just list their original DVD release:"No Sail" (1945) w/ Donald and Goofy - already on "The Chronological Donald volume 2"."Two Weeks Vacation" (1952) w/ Goofy - already on "The Complete Goofy"."Trailer Horn" (1950) w/ Donald, Chip & Dale - to be released on "The Chronological Donald volume 3" this December 11, 2007."Old Sequoia" (1945) w/ Donald - already on "The Chronological Donald volume 2"."Mickey's Trailer" (1938) w/ Mickey, Donald, and Goofy - already on "Mickey Mouse in Color volume 1""Hello Aloha" (1952) w/ Goofy - already on "The Complete Goofy"."Good Scouts" (1938) w/ Donald, Huey, Dewey, and louie - already on "The Chronological Donald volume 1"."How to Ride a Horse" (1941) w/ Goofy - this is the 1950... 2/5 Paul J. GREAT CLASSICS

This is one of my favorites in the Classic Cartoon Favorites series so far--this DVD is packed with some of the best cartoons I've seen so far. Here's a short summary of each:Mickey's Trailer: When Goofy disconnects the line between his car and Mickey's inventive trailer, it's all downhill! (7:30)No Sail: Donald & Goofy are trapped in a boat--which, ironically, will let steer them home, if they had a nickel. When sharks drop by, hilarious trouble ensues. (7:30)Good Scouts: On a camping trip, Donald tries to show off to Huey, Dewey, and Louie about what he can do--until a bear intervenes and causes Donald a scare. (7:30)Hello Aloha: Goofy has had it, and on a desperate attempt for relaxation, cruises to Hawaii. Only to find relaxation is not what it turned out to be! (6:30)Old Sequoia: Donald is now a park ranger, and find some beavers in his district sawing down trees--but if Old Sequoia goes, he'll go! (6:30)How... 5/5 lizb - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) What Wii Sports Resort SHOULD Have Been

If you love minigame collections like Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, you'll love this game. If not, then there is no point in reading further.I'll start off with a few logistics. You only need your Wii remote and nunchuk, the balance board and zapper are optional and don't really affect the game play. You can use your Mii Avatar and even though it says you cannot use your Mii's glasses, it actually does let you. You can also register a dog companion if you choose. Now this game has a lot of similarities to Wii Sports Resort even going as far as to having some of the same games. In some cases, you'll find the Resort to be better (such as sky diving) and in other cases, Vacation to be better (such as with jet skiing). When you start playing the game, you will start off at Marine Resort, where you are given the task of completing Stamp Dash where you must play a specific game and getting a stamp for it. You must collect 20, 10 of which must come from... 5/5 Just ME "Mixed Girl" - See all my reviews = Fun:, October 11, 2011

Go Vacation - Time to dust off your balance board!

This is an impressive game for the money. Since the other reviews so far haven't really addressed the Balance Board - I will focus my review on that. If you enjoyed the skiing in Wii Fit, you will like this game. Many activities in the game give the option of using the BB. I think in most cases, it makes the activity more difficult, but if you're looking for a game that makes you want to dust off the BB and use it - this is it. Some games are similar to Wii Fit like Ski Jumping and Skiing. However, they take things to a new level with some of the games. Many activities use it (some better than others) - Wheel Slider and Dog Sledding are two of my favorites. Others include Grind master, in line skating, slalom skiing, snow board, snow tubing, sidewinder, jet ski, half pipe, skateboard, surfing, paragliding, and pie thowing. One thing that is unique in this game is that you can just put on some skates and just exlore the entire city resort (or other gear at the other... 5/5 Diane (Iowa) - See all my reviews = Fun:, November 3, 2011

    Go Vacation! Love it!

I really LOVE this game! My friend and I have been playing off and on for a couple weeks and have gotten maybe 1/2 the treasures and minigames under my belt...yet there is still so much to do! We're in our 40s and thoroughly enjoy it...and her 4 year old loves to play, too! It's actually the 1st game she can get around in and actually accomplishes stuff! It's challenging yet simple! It's very entertaining and I always find something new/cool every time I play. I've even taken to drawing my own maps of the resorts so I can keep track of where things are and what I've found! Have you found the alien spaceship yet?! Comment if you get stuck on finding something, maybe I can help. The location of this image is Anaheim, CA United States. Copyright: Time & Life Pictures Disneyland Park is a theme park located in Anaheim, California , owned and operated by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts division of the Walt Disney Company . Known as Disneyland when it opened on July 18, 1955, and still almost universally referred to by that name, it is the only theme park to be designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney . In 1998, the theme park was re-branded "Disneyland Park" to distinguish it from the larger Disneyland Resort complex. Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. He initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small. After hiring a consultant to help determine an appropriate site for his project, Walt bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on July 17, 1955. Since its opening, Disneyland has undergone a number of expansions and renovations, including the addition of New Orleans Square in 1966, Bear Country (now Critter Country) in 1972, and Mickey's Toontown in 1993. Disney California Adventure Park was built on the site of Disneyland's original parking lot and opened in 2001. Disneyland has a larger cumulative attendance than any other theme park in the world, with close to 600 million guests since it opened. In 2010, 15.98 million people visited the park, making it the second most visited park in the world that calendar year.
