  I read more than my share of reviews whilst trying to find the perfect means of neck support and as favourable as the others were, I was still apprehensive. I have a neck disprotrusion from an accident and it is difficult for me to get comfortable whether sitting or sleeping. I was hoping to find something to alleviate constant stiffness and pain and I was suspicious of anything claiming to be ergonomic.When I received the pillow, I was relieved and pleasantly surprised. The foam is noticeably firm and returns to its original shape very quickly. I smushed it a good many times to test its resilence and believe you me, it can take a punch. Not that I violently thrash my pillows but I wanted to gauge how long it would last because no one likes to throw away $24.Another great thing about the foam is that it has no awful smell.   This is a great product! It is fantastic... comfortable, molds to your head, great workmanship! This pillow is made with the same quality as an expensive neck pillow (Tempur-pedic, $75). I forgot my pillow on the plane and was looking to replace it, but couldn't bring myself to spend another $75 on a pillow. I went with this one and am extremely impressed with it! Buy now!   The BEST Cervical roll-- for me, at least

  As a physical therapist who suffers from neck pain, this is the ONLY pillow that I can use without waking up to having cervical muscle spasms in the mornings. This pillow is great for people who do not have the normal curvature of the cervical spine a.k.a.-- straight necks (cervical arthritis etc).I bought one 3 years ago at CVS & have been looking for a year now for a replacement since mine cannot support my neck very well anymore. It has been a week that I have been waking up to neck spasms & I am delighted to find that it is here at Amazon. It was here all along, I just have been typing in the wrong name-- cervical pillow, cervical roll, neck roll etc....   I took this pillow with me on my 16 hour flight to New Zealand and 2 weeks driving around the country. All I can say is this pillow rocks my socks. It is not confining like a U-shaped pillow, where your head is locked in one position. This pillow lets you lean which ever way you want but at the same time supports your neck and keeps your head from flopping around. I let my friends use the pillow to nap as we were driving through a mountain pass and they raved about how their head never slid around even as we were driving through windy roads.   Great Shape for a Pillow, But You Might Need to Sew It A Little

  I really love this pillow. I am a shorter person with a small frame, so I thought it might be too big of a neck pillow for me. But its design seems to accomodate people of all shapes and sizes.I have been using it most nights as my primary pillow, after a few weeks when I changed the case I have over it, the seam at one end had started to pop. It was a 5 minute fix job, I just restitched the open part and re-inforced some of the stitching around it. Now it is a happy pillow again. 4/5 K.   Pretty good travelling pillow

  I recently went on a 15 hour flight with this pillow. It was supportive without being a rock, yet firm enough so that my head didn't feel like my neck was the sole support. My mom had another massaging pillow that was as hard as a rock. She "borrowed" my Ortho Therapy pillow and never gave it back for the flight duration (though she did make sure that I carried it off the plane, not her.)   This pillow is firm, but not hard. It is exactly what I needed since I have constant neck pain. The material is super soft and not the cheap material I would expect from such a low price. If you have neck pain, this is definately the pillow you want. Most side sleepers will benefit from this because side sleepers tend to have problems with neck pain. I use this during the day sitting in my office chair, so when I lean back it is a comfortable fit. Sometimes I use it when I sleep at night and wake up without neck pain.   I bought this for my recent trip to Asia. 15+ hours in a plane can be terrible but this pillow helps relieve pressure off your neck muscles and provides good support. It is much better than the inflatable ones I have used in the past. This with some good noise canceling headphones and you are good to go!   Surprisingly good pillow

  I am a side sleeper with snoring problems. When we purchased this pillow we did not use it for a week because it was so small and soft. "How could this possible be of any good"? was our first thought. I had a memory foam pillow that was firmer and more supportive and regular firm pillows before that. Who would have ever thought that this small, soft, foam pillow would work so well. It supports my neck so that I no longer need to ball the pillow between my shoulder and neck. It is soft enough that there is no pressure against my neck and supports my head in an upright position. The support from the pillow has given me two important benefits; no more snoring and I sleep like a rock. My nightly twisting and turning has also been greatly reduced.   This might be the perfect pillow

  I have tried a number of different pillows over the past few years and always seem to like my new pillow for the first week, but then can't stand it anymore. This pillow is different. . . I still love it! The memory foam cushions my neck perfectly and makes it so I don't wake up in the morning sore, like I used to.   Excellent support and comfortable contour shape

  I was looking for a memory foam pillow but didn't want to spend a lot of money in case I didn't like it. I've been using this pillow for about a week now and have been extremely pleased with it. On first glance, it's smaller than the average standard size pillow and gets lost in a regular pillow case. However, I haven't found this to be a problem. The pillow I was using before was big and fluffy so it took a couple days to get used to the firmer support the memory foam provides. The contoured shape keeps your head and neck in the ideal position for sleeping. I'm mostly a back sleeper, but occasionally side. In both positions, this pillow is very comfortable. I've had a lot of problems in the past with neck, shoulder and back pain because of pillows that didn't provide enough support or were too high and my neck felt bent forward when I slept.   I put this in the microwave (do not exceed two minutes) every night, and take it to bed with me. It keeps me warm and helps my tight neck muscles relax.I had a buckwheat pillow before. The buckwheat is quite a bit lighter weight, but it doesn't retain heat as well. This flax seed pillow also allows the stuffing to shift around quite a lot so it can go flat in the back of your neck and heavy at the ends of the "u" shape when you're sitting up. As a massage therapist I see people everyday with tight, sore Trap muscles(back of neck/shoulder), either from working the muscles or from carrying stress. Heat this item and sit with it on your shoulders, shifting more of the weight of the item towards TOP/BACK of shoulders. If it feels too heavy then most of the weight is probably in the wrong place.   Being one of those unfortunate few with back and neck problems, I have always longed for a product such as this that conforms to your body unlike traditional heating pads and can be heated or frozen. I agree with the reviewers on a couple of things: the inflatable factor is very important while travelling so I dont have to carry a bulky load with me, this pillow is very easy to inflate (few light blows of air is all it takes) and deflate (the "on" button works like magic) as well as to fold and put away in its soft carry case.My gripes however are with the comfort factor. I feel it doesn't support my neck quite enough on the sides, and i wish it had a way to hold the two ends of the "U" shape together. I feel like I have to lean against something just to hold the pillow on my neck, since it will otherwise fall off, and that could be prevented if the ends clipped together around my neck. Also, the behind-head inflation is too wide to rest your head back on a flight seat, so i had to wear it with the ends behind my head to get it to work.   Works great and comfortable too!

  Works great, a couple breaths into the valve and it's fully inflated. A small button inside the valve quickly releases air to adjust for comfort or completely exhaust it.It also folds compactly, has it's own soft case and does not take up much room in a carry-on. Very comfortable, not as comfy as a memory foam pillow but not as expensive or massively bulky as one either. Good price so no worries if it gets damaged or lost. Both my wife and I found it very pleasant to use on long flights.We no longer take long trips without comfort accessories. We used to just bear it and deal with the discomfort and were just so drained at the end but take just one trip with a neck pillow, your own blanket, a travel pillow (for your head or lumbar support), soft eye shades and some ear plugs and/or a noise-canceling headphone set and you will never just bear it again.   Supportive and compact--good stuff!

  This is surprisingly easy to inflate, deflates pretty easily as well, and fits easily into its travel pouch, though I can never get it into the same shape as it was when it came to me. I used this in the car and slept well and comfortably for hours (not while driving, of course). I then took it onto a plane and found that it was great for most of the ride, but I had to re-inflate it a little bit a few times once we began our descent. It never lost any air during my lengthy car ride, so I suspect that the change in cabin prssure is what kept affecting it. If I'd decided to leave it at the level to which it had deflated, it still would have been completely fine, and for some people, just the level of cushion they want. I happen to like it being completely full of air and firm, though, and because it didn't stay so, this gets 4 stars from me instead of 5.   Dog Bone Pillows - need back in stores

  I use these pillows on my adult son. He's bedridden as a quadriplegic and comatose. They keep his arm contractions separated. Keeps his feet off the bed to prevent bed sores and they make a great neck pillow for ANYONE. In the last 12 years I can say that I have purchased close to 3-4 dozen of these. I wash them in the machine constantly and they do lose some of there fluffiness but they still do the trick!!Walmart and Walgreens used to sell them up until a couple of years ago. Now I can't find them anywhere except online. It costs me more due to S/H. These stores need to start selling them AGAIN!Update: My second purchase of 6 of these in December 2011 I had to return. They were made cheaper and had no support. You could squeeze the neck part together with your fingers. I told them they were useless and the quality is no longer there.   Great Nap Pillow

  I bought this to support my neck while watching movies in my lounger, and it's fine for that like most travel neck supports. Then, I grabbed it to support my head one day while taking a nap on the couch and discovered what a great nap pillow it makes! I love the thicker "bone" sides, as they keep my head in a straight position and prevent neck cramps.Some people will say it's too soft, some people will say it's too hard since such things are a personal preference issue.   ESSENTIAL for good sleeping!

  The Bone Pillow is the absolute best answer to comfortable sleeping! They're soft, yet supportive, easy to manage, travel with and keep clean! I have used and loved my bone pillows for years, and they are absolutely essential to me, One goes everywhere I go to sleep.   Great little pillow

  This is a great little pillow. I bought them as part of Amazon's 4-for-3 promotion since my family and I are going on a road trip soon, and I thought they might be nice to have. While they are certainly good for just putting behind your neck (and these actually DO keep your head propped when you go to the side), I actually found them great for sticking vertically down your back between your shoulder blades. They help with posture and the end holds your head when you lean back. They are a lot easier than sticking a roll of towels between your back and the seat.   I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the quality of the pillow is much better than its moderate price would suggest. It is soft to the touch and provides very comfortable support. The memory foam is of high quality that really molds to my neck. I actually think it is better than the $75 U-shaped neck pillow that I bought at a specialty store two years ago.   This pillow is great for plane travel. It is well made and feels soft and comfy. If you are looking for a "firm" pillow, this is not for you. I used it for a long flight and I must say that I am very happy with the product.
