  The Samsonite F'lite 30" suitcase has some unique features that set it apart from just about every piece of baggage out there. The question is, do these features matter to you?First of all, it does not have a zipper closure. This is the feature that matters most to me. I travel overseas a lot. Certain airports (and I won't say which ones) are known for having baggage broken into. A zipper is an invitation for some baggage handler to whip out a blade and cut into your bag, rendering it useless until the airline pays for your replacement. This is a problem I can do without. They aren't going to do that with this one. I can say--knock on wood--that after some 25 years of extensive international travel, I have never had a lockable, non-zippered hardshell bag broken into. Most of my friends haven't been so fortunate. The bag has a TSA-openable combination lock.   I needed a piece of "hard" luggage as I was going to fly and need to transport a firearm and I wanted the maximum protection. In case you don't know it, any "zippered" luggage can be broken into with a ballpoint pen and you would never know it.Well, this luggage arrived and let me tell you it is BIG! Lots of room. My only concern was the locks. My only past experience with hard luggage was when we got married years ago we bought the old style Samsonite luggage. That stuff had a metal frame and keyed locks on the latches. This unit has no metal frame and the latches ( all three of them) are mostly plastic. The middle latch has a combo lock and a TSA approved key slot. IMO it would be better if there was a way to attach a regular TSA padlock.Well, this baby was loaded (no pun intended) and heavy.   NOT Samsonite's greatest design

  As a Flight Attendant and an avid supporter of Samsonite hardcases for the last 20 years, this is not their best thought out design. I bought it with considerations for terrain outside of airports (bigger wheels so they don't get gnarled up in the snow and grit) and just assumed the rest was tried and tested by Samsonite. The rest being..ability to get to the airport, by train or bus. This (31") is not designed to be manouvered in any way other than its upright pulling position, it does not fit down the aisles of buses, cannot be manouvered easily through restricting barrier entrances to trains/airports, it's back breaking and not condusive to manual handling due to twisting and lifting at the same time. No damage to contents, but rather sad to think that it's more frail than it appears.   I purchased two of these for our vacation. When we reached our destination, one of the four wheel assemblies was missing from one of the bags. In addition, there was a cut in the material.   I puirchased this luggage for a recent trip to Israel. I was expecting something a little bigger than what I received. It is advertised as a 30", but comparing it to my old 30" suitcase it doesnt really measure up. I think they count the wheels in the measurement. Other than that the suitcase is fine. Ok construction, plenty of pockets and zippers. It falls within the standard luggage requirements for airlines. I used it on a recent trip to Israel. There are four small vent holes on the front of the luggage. they are lined with a metalic looking ring. One of the rings came off on the way there.   A great replacement for my large TravelPro Platinum rolling garment bag with a million miles on it

  After holding up very well over the last 6 or 7 years, it was time to find a suitable replacement for my large TravelPro Garment bag. I was looking for a large case since I prefer to check my luggage and I carry a LOT in it in addition to clothes, shoes, .., (I also carry all of my workout gear, supplements, etc.., so it had to be a pretty good size.I "thought" my old garment bag was large but this thing is seriously large! I easily fit everything I used to carry and I still have room to spare.   This is a great little gadget. The size makes it very portable and the added feature of using batteries is also very useful. As long as you have something with music on it, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and something that conducts vibration well you have a sound system. The materials I've found that work best with the product are cardboard and foam. Foam seems to be the most affordable and best conductor of sound. I use the device on a university campus for recruitment events and all I use is a Styrofoam cooler. The optimum thickness of foam I've found thus far is 3 inches. The surface area I've been using is 17x18. It's a great alternative to having to carry an actual sound system out. The quality of the sound varies depending on the type of material you use, however as I mentioned before foam seems to provide the greatest clarity.   I was hesitant to buy this after reading the reviews on here about the horrible sound quality, but I took a chance and I am so glad I did! I honestly don't see what everyone is complaining about. I mean, if you are buying these to use as actual replacement speakers you probably should look elsewhere. The sound isn't perfect, but it definitely isn't bad. It really depends what you put it on. Model ROCK-IT-WH (Electronics) I was hesitant to buy this after reading the reviews on here about the horrible sound quality, but I took a chance and I am so glad I did! I honestly don't see what everyone is complaining about. I mean, if you are buying these to use as actual replacement speakers you probably should look elsewhere. The sound isn't perfect, but it definitely isn't bad. It really depends what you put it on. Cardboard boxes and wooden interior doors work wonderfully!
