Such a great and practical guide!

Okay, so when I first picked this up I was skeptical because I had heard mostly of the beaches in Florida through word of mouth or commercials. Both of these venues of communication did nothing compared to how much information and advise was given through, "The Best Beaches in Florida."This work really did a great job at discussing the local attractions, activities, and people who you will be encountering at these beaches. Also, this is written by someone who has grown up in Florida and has been to several beaches in the state. The author shows no bias as he indicates on the first page, "It was just too hard to try to rank them individually, since each has its own charm." However, he still points you in the right direction even if you are aimed at making a decision to stick with.Overall, a great read and will serve everyone well who reads it! 5/5 Sirak - See all my reviews This review is from: The Best Beaches in Florida: A rundown of the top 10 most charming Florida beaches for a relaxing and exciting beach vacation (U.S. Beach Guides) (Kindle Edition) Okay, so when I first picked this up I was skeptical because I had heard mostly of the beaches in Florida through word of mouth or commercials. Let's go to the beach!

I have heard of all these beaches, but the concise descriptions with accompanying pictures of these lovely places make me want to visit all of them. I have been to a few and can attest to what the writer has described with accuracy and allurement. The author gives just enough information about the historical backgrounds of these beaches so that the reader will want to investigate more for himself not to mention travel to each place to see it up close and personal. This book is perfect for a first time visitor to these lovely venues who will soon find out why these beaches are deemed the best in Florida. 5/5 Gracilaria - See all my reviews This review is from: The Best Beaches in Florida: A rundown of the top 10 most charming Florida beaches for a relaxing and exciting beach vacation (U.S. Beach Guides) (Kindle Edition) I have heard of all these beaches, but the concise descriptions with accompanying pictures of these lovely places make me want to visit all of them. Great for families and homeschoolers

It's unusual to find a book with this depth of scientific detail that is nonetheless completely accessible to the non-scientist. Our family vacations near the Maine coast every summer, and we make day trips to the Massachusetts and Connecticut shores regularly -- this book gives us the information we need to really understand and enjoy what we're seeing as we explore tide pools and estuaries. Parents whose children are curious about what they find as they explore the beach will find this guide indispensable, as will home schooling families who are looking for an educational guide to the shore. You won't be disappointed! 5/5 Tea Leaf "bleeps" (Upton, MA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: The Naturalist's Guide to the Atlantic Seashore: Beach Ecology from the Gulf of Maine to Cape Hatteras (Naturalist's Guide Series) (Paperback) It's unusual to find a book with this depth of scientific detail that is nonetheless completely accessible to the non-scientist. the book I always wanted and never could find

When I get a chance to spend time outdoors in a beautiful place, I'm always drawn to a bookstore or library afterward to find out more. And I'm almost always disappointed. It's hard to find books about nature or place that are not too cute, too literary, or set up like a catalog. (No disrespect to people who like these formats.)A book that shows the relationships between things, at a reasonable level of detail, with a good but not overwhelming reference list -- that's heaven sent. The photos are nice-looking and informative without being so large that they drive up the price. It totally hits the "wow, I'd like to know more about that" spot. I wish I could find a way to say the following without criticizing other approaches, so again, no disrespect intended: It's not about the author's feelings -- or about politics -- or about some rigid system imposed by a remote university -- it's about the beach.Fun. Informative. Awesome. 5/5 Amanda - See all my reviews This review is from: The Naturalist's Guide to the Atlantic Seashore: Beach Ecology from the Gulf of Maine to Cape Hatteras (Naturalist's Guide Series) (Paperback) When I get a chance to spend time outdoors in a beautiful place, I'm always drawn to a bookstore or library afterward to find out more. A must have for anyone who spends time at the shore!

This book is so much more than your typical field guide. It not only helps identify different organisms, it explains how they live, interact, and function in the beach community. The photographs are superb, the text easy to read and entertaining, and the book has all the neat seaside critter "stories" that are so engaging: How starfish eat (oops, I mean sea stars - they extrude their stomach into their prey); How shells get those small round holes in them that make them perfect for stringing on necklaces (created by a Moon snail). Lots of ecology, life history and conservation. A must have for anyone who spends time at the shore! 5/5 TBW - See all my reviews This review is from: The Naturalist's Guide to the Atlantic Seashore: Beach Ecology from the Gulf of Maine to Cape Hatteras (Naturalist's Guide Series) (Paperback) This book is so much more than your typical field guide. Great for Blu-rays, less so for DVDs

If you are a little OCD about your case inserts, you'll not want to use these for DVDs. Getting DVD cover art into the main sleeve requires folding the insert exactly in half, creating a crease down the middle of the spine. However, for Blu-rays the size is perfect, allowing the crease to run along one of the existing ones created by the case itself. Most will prefer folding the insert so the spine is showing with the front cover, as this allows you to store the movie on a shelf as normal yet still read the titles on the spine as you flip through the stacks.I was fortunate to run across a number of these packs on a clearance table, but even at regular price they are worth the price. For a time I was afraid Target stopped carrying them, but then they showed up again, though it's likely I'm solely responsible for turning over their stock. 5/5 C. I've been waiting for something like this!

Finally! I've been looking for many years for some other option for DVD storage. Our DVD cabinet is maxed out from storing our collection in the original cases. These sleeves are just what I've been wanting. The outer sleeve has room to put the liner in. The inner sleeve has two sections for the disc(s). Put the inner sleeve into the outer sleeve and boom! I can fit 8 DVD's into the same space I used to need for one. Love these! 5/5 Mother of two (South Holland, Illinois United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Atlantic 74604729 Movie Sleeves (Electronics) Finally! Absolutely LOVE these

DVD cases take a lot of space and these babies really took my collection of 400+ CD and condensed them down to about a yard of space on my bookshelf. My only complaint is that each sleeve hold two DVDs along with the cover art. If you don't mind flipping over the CDs to see what the second CD is it is ok, but I like to be able to flip through the boxes and not have to view the back of the sleeve to see what the second DVD is. Therefore, I bought the extra sleeves so each DVD has it's own sleeve, which increased the cost of condensing my collection down. Some people complain that you have to crease the spine of the cover art, that was not a problem for me, I will not be unfolding the cover art so what difference does it make? If you want to save space I highly recommend these. 5/5 Dawn L Madden - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Got the sunglasses as ordered.....one lens was broke. Sent back got another pair.....one lense cracked....I wrote to Amazon and told them they needed to pack these more securely. The moment I put on these glasses I could see that the quality of the glass was better than anything I have ever tried....Trust me I have spent 1000's of dollars on sunglasses over the last 20 years..I tried Maui Jim, Costa del Mar, Kaenon, X-wily, Oakly, The only ones that came close to the Ocean waves was the Kaenon.I was heart broken when the 2nd pair arrived cracked. I have re-order but its going to take 3 weeks to get them. I can hardly wait. The glass lens are light and unbelievably clear and cool on the eyes. If you like eye comfort with no strain from anykind of light then you will love these....Well worth the money compaired to the others that Ive tried..... Ocean Waves Atlantic Beach Sunglasses (Tortoise with Green Lens) These are the ones I got. 5/5 Richard Ludwig "Rivah man" (Shacklefords, VA, US) - See all my reviews, September 2, 2011

    The best you can get!

I am currently on my fourth pair of Ocean Wave sunglasses. They are awesome! I have spent most of my life working on fishing boats in southern California and bought my fist pair about ten or twelve years ago and I still have them! I have abused them more than most people would and other than one little scratch on one of my pairs they all look just like the day I purchased them. They have been sat on, knocked off my head and kicked across the deck, painted with epoxy paint, not to mention just being around salt water almost every day. You name it and it has happened to them, but these things are built like tanks. They only come off my head when I sleep. As for the lens quality: They are second to none! I can see farther in the water than I could with any other glasses I have tried. They cut out glare almost completely.I recommend them to everyone who asks me. The price may be a little more than what you would pay for a normal pair but when it comes to your eyes... 5/5 Evil Fish - See all my reviews This review is from: Ocean Waves Atlantic Beach Sunglasses (Eyewear) I am currently on my fourth pair of Ocean Wave sunglasses. Not exactly what I was expecting, but very nice product

I saw a similar product to this in stores and assumed that this was it - the one I saw were "solid" (hard) cases all around that slid into the case. This product has a hard spine (area with the circle) but the front/back are a very thin material that swings/bends/moves around freely. While I wanted the hard cases to prevent any squishing, these definitely do the trick. A huge benefit is being able to compact 96 CD's into the width of about 12 DVD cases. The presentation is very nice - much nicer than plain jewel cases or paper sleeves. The 4 "cases" slide into the clear box and fit into special grooves (this keeps them nearly aligned even if you not all 4 are in there). These are stackable, so if you have multiple, you can easily connect them to eachother.A great space-saver that also tidies up any loose CD's - I highly recommend this product. With that said, I do have 2 things to point out (well, one to point out and one that "would have been nice... 5/5 EAG (New York City) - See all my reviews This review is from: Atlantic 96635496 Parade Stores 96 Disc (Black) (Electronics) I've never liked CD wallets or binders being a collector of DVD's, but liked the style of Atlantic's 96 disc holder and decided to give it a try due to space issues in my apartment. Its a good organizer, but I don't suggest using all 96 pockets or filling it to capacity, because the result will be scrtached discs. The problem is that the pages in the binders have pockets that hold 1 disc one each side (2 per page/ 1 per side). Because of this, storing 2 discs per page will create alot of friction and a very tight fit, which means that the discs will get very easily scratched from taking them in and out of the pockets. I could not believe the amount of scratches it left on alot of my discs simply from just trying to carefully remove them from the pages even after first time use. If you love your collection and hate hair like scratches on your discs, the only option with this product is to only store one disc per page leaving the other side empty because it will leave alot of room for... Beautiful And Inspiring

Beaches is one of the best movies I have ever seen, it is one of my favorite. I have never seen such a captivating film about friends, and the trials and tribulations, the joys and fears, that go with the friendship. The music, is excellent. By far Bette's best music to date. On many tracks there is a resonance of sadness in each note. The standout obviously is the classic ballad "Wind Beneath My Wings", very uplifting, sad, but joyous at the same time. I sang it at a friend's funeral a few years ago. "Baby Mine", "The Friendship Theme" (instrumental) and "I Think It's Going To Rain Today" are all sad songs, that make you reflect on life (along with "Wind Beneath My Wings") and realize how precious and short our lives are, and how we shouldn't take it for granted. The fun side is shown through songs like "I've Still Got My Health" and "Otto Titsling". I also really like the cover of the Dolly Parton song "I... 5/5 J. M.
