They are attractive to customers who make only occasional use of a vehicle, as well as others who would like occasional access to a vehicle of a different type than they use day-to-day. The organization renting the cars may be a commercial business or the users may be organized as a democratically-controlled company, public agency, cooperative, ad hoc grouping. Today there are more than one thousand cities in the world where people can carshare. The term carsharing is also used for carpooling or ride sharing in some places. Good Book. Wrong Title.

EXCEEDING CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS by Kirk Kazanjian may be viewed in a variety of ways. Many will consider this book nothing more than a marketing campaign, and in large part, they would be correct. However, I find no fault in that. If that were the intention of the people at Enterprise, it is ingenious. They certainly won my loyalty, not that I ever have much need to rent a vehicle, but if I ever do,....Others might view this book just as the title opines, an instructional treatise on customer service. They too would be correct, but only to a certain degree. I say that because I found the book to be more of a business model. In fact, I would say this book is broken down thusly; 50% business model, 30% Enterprise company history and 20% customer service. Therefore, my only big knock on this book is the title, which leads the reader to believe customer service is the primary focus here. It is not. That is not to say, however, that readers will not glean valuable information... 4/5 Monty Rainey (New Braunfels, TX) - See all my reviews, March 1, 2007

    They Can't Cure Cancer

This is a good book, but Mr. Sklar's reading of the material makes it sound like the guys at Enterprise Rent A Car should, by the 4th disc, have a cure for cancer! It is interesting to hear how CEO Jack Taylor was able to start the business from a small idea at a single car dealership in St. Louis. But, as the company grows, Jack and later his son Andy are given credit for anticipating every challenge, and solving them with their stunning execution of the business plan to provide "excellent customer service."At every turn, Enterprise emerges as the leader, the innovator, the business where everything turns to gold! When talking about the succession plan from Jack to Andy Taylor, Andy is presented as the humble genius who has the vision that dad did not, while wise dad looks on with fatherly pride as his son and family members 'of course' think that running a family business 'is best' because after all, Enterprise Knows Best!By the 3rd CD, I kept listening just... 3/5 Paul Curran "Adjusting Fine" (Tustin, CA) - See all my reviews, January 13, 2009

Good Book, but not applicable to everyone.

This is a great book if your desire is to learn about Enterprise and it's history. However, I don't see it as a guide to other businesses as the majority of it's pages are Enterprise specific. Furthermore, it speaks of how "wonderful" a company Enterprise is with grand opportunities for it's employees, however, after having personally speaking with a former Enterprise employee I learned that the opportunities that were once there don't exist quite at the same level as when the company was younger. At any rate, the Enterprise story is a very interesting and impressive one. If you want to read about how this company went from having one Missouri location with just one employee to having 6000 locations worldwide and 70,000+ employees in just 55 short years then this book is a must read. Well written. 3/5 J. Carollo (Bremen, GA) - See all my reviews, April 29, 2012

Best Solution for NUVI in my Prius and my Ford: Theft Protection As Well!!

My Prius has a rough dashboard and a windshield that slopes very sharply. Thus, the suction cup mounts are not good solutions. Fortunately, the friction mount is a great solution. It works much better than I expected. Very stable, does not slide, and lets me adjust my Nuvi to a variety of different angles. I can place the GPS anywhere on the dash or even on the center console. Also works great when transferred to my wife's Ford.Only downside to the device is that it has a rather large footprint, but not prohibitively large. I like the fact that I can easily use this in both of our family vehicles depending on where we need the GPS.UPDATE: Now that I have used this mount regularly since May, I have to say this is the best mounting solution I've found for a GPS or any other device for my car. It hasn't slid out of place once!! Given the rise in GPS units being stolen from cars, this mount allows you to easily stash your GPS Unit and mount out of sight and... 4/5 A. Well designed

This mount works great. The selection of Garmin mounts is confusing as some are two parts and some are one. If you have a Nuvi with the included windshield mount, then this is the only part you need to buy. The included mount disassembles at the ball and socket joint and attaches to this one. I can't say it will never come off the dash if I do some really high speed maneuver, but so far it's held steady for all regular driving.I like that it's easy to move the mount and gps unit down to the floor when I park. Yeah a thief could still see it if they came right up to my car but at least it's not obvious from halfway across the parking lot like a windshield mount is. A thief that sees an empty windshield mount is probably going to assume (correctly) that I've just put the unit in the glove compartment. 5/5 Dylan Ginsburg - See all my reviews, May 19, 2007

    Finally, the right mounting solution

I have become addicted to my Garmin Nuvi 660 and used it for six months with a successful windshield mount. But now I have bought a new car. I discovered that the windshield suction mount left an ugly black ring on the window of my old car. (I assume I can get this cleaned up when I detail the car for selling.)So no way was I going to put one of those on my beautiful new car. I tried the Garmin dashboard mount but shied away from the "permanent" disc. I found the "temporary" disc was just not up to the job of holding this device in place -- at least on my vehicle. I found this very frustrating. I read about the Portable Friction Mount, found a Best Buy store that had it in stock and ran out to buy it.Though it is not terribly good looking, it does the job very well. I tried whipping around a few tight turns in parking lots and the whole thing stayed put. As another reviewer said, this lets you easily remove the thing and put it on the floor so it's not... 5/5 Richard Buck (Seattle, Washington) - See all my reviews, June 16, 2007

Finally - a booster that works in a 3 across situation!

I had three 5 point harness car seats installed in the backseat of a Hyundai Sonata. I have been waiting for someone to make a booster without armrests as buckling a booster in next to a carseat is very very difficult. Not something a child could do, for sure! The BubbleBum has these great little clips that hold the booster in place and direct the seatbelt so it rests properly on the child. It is easy to inflate (just a few breaths) and straightforward to install. It can be a little tricky to get the seatbelt routed into the clips depending on how thick the webbing on your seatbelts are, but you don't have to redo the clips unless you remove the seat from the car. Once it is installed, my 6 year old can buckle and unbuckle her seatbelt with ease - even with two other 5 point harnessed carseats next to her. I needed this seat as a solution to a 3 carseats across in a sedan solution, and the BubbleBum works great for us! It is very compact and comfy. 5/5 Bectoria (Virginia) - See all my reviews I had three 5 point harness car seats installed in the backseat of a Hyundai Sonata. in a word, WOW!

We got the Bubble Bum for our Porsche Carrera 911. It is VERY hard to find a booster that will fit in a seat that is only 13" wide. BubbleBum not only fits, my kids say it is super comfortable. As an added bonus, it's light weight enough to deflate and take on the plane for more comfortable travel on the flight, and when we rent a car abroad, we no longer have to rent overpriced, dirty, uncomfortable car seats from the rental companies. I'm buying a second BubbleBum today! 5/5 Elana C Honig - See all my reviews = Durability:, October 25, 2011

Great for travel and 3 across, but not for independent buckler

The BubbleBum booster is super fun and lightweight, perfect for rolling up and taking on a trip. I give it 5 stars for this purpose. I would recommend it for only occasional use because my 5 year old cannot buckle himself in (you must connect the loops through both sides of the lap belt portion of the seatbelt). You must blow it up with your mouth and make sure you are using it properly, so I wouldn't recommend it for carpool use either. As with any booster, be sure to use the shoulder belt adjuster for proper fit to protect your child in the event of a crash. We are using it to fit 3 across a rental sedan backseat on a vacation. It is rated a "best bet" for fit by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (they don't crash test them, but testing the fit, or how the shoulder belt lies along the collarbone, is a key factor in how well it will perform in a crash.) I discovered that another booster I own is "not recommended," so be sure to check on the IIHS website before you... 5/5 LibrarianMomOf3 - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Fried The Cig Lighter of Two Vehicles

I tried the charger first in a rental car. It worked for a minute, and then failed to charge (or illuminate its LED light). I removed the charger, and tried to use my GPS unit with its car charger (which had earlier worked fine in this car), and found that IT wouldn't charge, either! So I returned the car to the rental car office, figuring there was a problem with its electrical system. But when the exact same thing happened in the second car (after, again, powering my GPS' charger just fine), I realized that I was causing the problems....by my use of this cheapo iPhone charger. I'm just glad that 1. I didn't plug the charger into my own car, and 2. it didn't fry my iPhone! This charger went straight into the garbage, and I bought my auto charger at apple store for $20. Did not work for iPhone 3G

This car charger did not work at all for my iPhone 3G. The red light on the charger indicated it was receiving power, but my iPhone 3G did not receive a charge. This was tested on two different iPhones in two different cars. I elected not to exchange, since it wasn't worth the return shipping and handling. It sounds like others have had success with this product, but I can not recommend it. 1/5 jcninwisc - See all my reviews This review is from: Car Charger for Apple 3G iPhone, Black (Wireless Phone Accessory) This car charger did not work at all for my iPhone 3G. Works for iPhone 3G

It arrived within a few days, tested it on my iPhone 3G and it worked.By the way, I found 3 tips that help extend the iPhone 3G battery life considerably, go to Settings and set the following:1. Set Wi-Fi: Off2. Fetch New Data: Hourly (I hook up to my work's exchange email server)3. General > Network > Enable 3G: OffAlso, if you need speed for web browsing and other apps, then switch on either 3G or Wireless On. I use wireless for performance reasons.I did some speed tests and found that of the 3 network options I have these were the download speeds:1. The Castillo de San Cristóbal is a Spanish fort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was built by the Spaniards to protect against land based attacks on the city of San Juan. It is part of San Juan National Historic Site. Castillo de San Cristóbal is the largest fortification built by the Spanish in the New World. When it was finished in 1783 it covered about 27 acres of land, basically wrapping the city of San Juan. Entry to the city was sealed by San Cristóbal's double gates. After close to one hundred years of relative peace in the area, part of the fortification (about a third) was demolished in 1897 to help ease the flow of traffic in and out of the walled city.
