  Toy plane

  We recently took our toddler for a trip and we had to get on a plane. For weeks after he talked about flying and going to the airport. He even had questions about the planes themselves. When he asked for an airplane toy, he specifically said that he wanted one that looked just like the plane he flew on. So since we flew AA, I got him this toy. He loved it and plays with it often. My only complaint is that the tip of the wings are a bit sharp. The wings are supposed to be sort of flexible but that is not the case at all. They seem pretty rigid to me. My son is almost 4 so I was not worried about him getting hurt as much but I can see where a mom with a younger child would be.   Love this plane!

  Very nice plane, the first of what might become a collection very soon. It feels solid and hefty, not toy-like at all. I wish it had a little stand or something, but that's not a deal-breaker. Like someone else mentioned, the plastic signs (windows) do come off pretty easily, but in my case, this will sit on a shelf so it's not a big deal to me, but I can see how it might be for someone who buys this as a gift for a child.   too convoluted

  it's too easy to get lost in the complexity of the app. plus it constantly asks for the flight information. i'm pretty computer and app capable and I constantly keep getting lost in how to navigate this app. more thought needs to go into the logistics off this app. 2/5 B.   American Airline lovers unite

  My four year old son loves to fly on American Airlines, so this was the perfect gift for him. He loves the set and plays with it almost daily. The plane is die-cast and is a great size for his hands. Our only problem with the plane is the stickers started falling the first day, so we had to tape them on which is kind of a pain.   Nice-looking but fragile tires

  I bought this plane and was really looking forward to receiving it. It came in today, but the seller chose to just put the box (which is not protective to begin with) in a simple bubble-wrap envelope. Of course, the package was crushed in transit and two of the tires on the plane broke off. This seems to confirm a previous reviewer who said the tires break off easily. The plane itself is very nice looking, but it needs to be packaged securely. I'm returning it tomorrow, but since I didn't buy it directly from Amazon, they will only give me a refund. I might risk it and order it again later.   Lead Poisoning

  Bought this item to put inside of my fishtank as a decoration. I put the product into the tank and almost immediately, the fish swam away from it and huddled in a corner. All 12 of my fish were dead the next morning. I have other decorations in my tank, and nothing happened to my fish before, so I took a water sample to my local fish store and had them analyze the water. They found large amounts of LEAD in the water. This thing should be avoided at all costs.   Great Idea Poor Quality

  My niece has been dreaming of becoming an airline pilot since she was two years old. So a toy like this made a lot of sense, to accompany others. It provides a different perspective to someone into airplanes. It is perfect to understand what goes on the tarmac.The quality of the pieces, however, leaves a lot to be desired. It may have to do with where the toy is made and its price. I would easily pay more for better quality. There were two airplanes included, and both had their wheels come off, which I've glued back in place. I might consider replacing the airplanes with better quality standalone ones before giving her the gift.So don't count on the quality of this product, but the concept itself is good.   great idea, not great quality product

  my nephew is fascinated with airports and airplanes, I particularly got this because of the control tower.he was excited but has only really set it up maybe 3 times at the most, he plays with the planes only, and carriesthem around. the mat is actually plastic, like the quality of a shopping bag from a department store, but very thin.it doesn't really lay down flat and the other pieces always seem to move around with the slightess movement of the board.the planes arent durable and the wheels and tail came off the first day. would be better if it were a cardboard or more sturdyboard. my nephew isn't complaining about the product, he likes it but only really uses the airplanes out of it. 1/5 k.m. - See all my reviews = Durability:, January 11, 2012

  LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING

  Bought for 2 grandsons - one 4 & the other 6..... the size of the playmat is maybe 18" square...... I was so misled by the photograph that I didn't even check the dimensions.... shame on me! I figured it was like 3' square....but it is so tiny, it fits on a snack tray... and the pieces are so tiny, my son is leery about letting his 4 year old play alone.   I travel every week for business, so I need a suitcase that is roomy, lightweight, and that is small enough that I never have to check luggage. I replaced a 15 year old suitcase with this and am thrilled!   Rolls well but only in one direction...

  I've done a lot of traveling, and have gone through a lot of luggage since the early 80's. And I miss the days of no baggage fees, and having to be so careful of the size of the luggage to not get nailed with another fee when they say "Sorry, that won't fit." Since this one is specifically the size allowed for carryon for most carrier airframes (other than the little prop hoppers probably) that problem should be minimized.This unit is VERY well constructed. No loose threads hanging out, zippers all feel nice and solid, and the pulls work well and the teeth mesh perfectly. Looks great, and the expandable/collapsable handle works well, lock and all, and feels quite solid when extended. The wheels pivot well and roll well when you're pulling it behind you, but the thing I don't like about them is that it doesn't roll well when tilted and PUSHED rather than pulled. Sometimes as I'm going it's easier to push a piece of luggage in front of me depending on traffic flow, and... 4/5 John S.   The main for buying this carry on was to get a four-wheeled one and the correct size for American Airlines. Unfortunately, the four wheels don't roll as they should. First time in a airport, it did just fine; I was able to have it roll on my side. But after my first flight, it wouldn't roll well on the aircraft aisle. I thought it was the flooring, but the wheels kept wobbling making it impossible to roll it on my side. It looks like the wheels just can't get aligned on the right direction. The only way to roll it was to push it on front of me or drag it from the back. I could understand after many flights this happening, but not before I even got off the plane on my first flight with it! I even tried it again at home, now totally empty, to no avail.Otherwise, the size is good. There's plenty of room and an additional 2" expansion if you need it.   The first thing prospective readers should know, is that even though the story places the protagonist/author Benjamin "Benny" Ford in O'Hare Airport, eighty-percent of the story has nothing to do with the agonies of a delayed flight. As a constant nationwide traveler myself, when I heard about this book, I immediately imagined unlimited humorous plots and sub-plots all at the expense of the un-caring Airline industry and its echoing tentacles that encompass security, parking, bathrooms, etc. I envisioned myself (and other travelers like me) laughing, yelling, and pointing accusatory fingers at the hapless and sadistic airline characters portrayed in the book as I shrieked: "I told you I wasn't the only one who asked for a pillow"... "I wasn't the only one who wondered why the airlines wouldn't tell you where your connecting gates were located as the plane is pulling into a gate"...   Neat toy for an infant and toddler

  We are teaching my infant son American sign language as a third language and wanted some fun and safe toys to supplement his learning. This toy is plush, large enough to not be a choking hazard, makes a pleasant engine sound that is not too loud or too soft, and it provided hours of cool playing time. He takes it everywhere just like other children take their stuffed bears.
